Robert Drew Sanford, 91, of Demopolis passed away Dec. 18, 2015, at his residence.
Services for Mr. Sanford will be Sunday, Dec.20, 2 p.m., at Gallion Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Stevens and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Sanford was born July 8, 1924, in Elmore County.
He was preceded by his parents, Robert Owen and Corrie Fulmer Sanford; sister, Bobbie McIntosh.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie W. Sanford of Demopolis; daughter, Kathy S. Pratt of Birmingham; sons, Robert Michael “Mickey” Sanford of Demopolis and Stephen Marcus “Marc” Sanford of Thomaston; sister, Marie Colley of Montgomery; grandchildren, Jim Allen, Michael Sanford, Parker Sanford, Tate Sanford, Zack Pratt, Kristen Yelverton, Manley Pratt and Raye Sanford; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Parker Sanford, Jim Allen, Michael Sanford, Tate Sanford, Zack Pratt and Manley Pratt.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Baker, Frank Hall, Frank Dunn, Employees and Staff of Comfort Care Hospice, Bo McAlpine, Mike McAlpine, Terry Barr, Wayne Nettles, Wilson Hamrick, Chuck Baker and Mark Baker.
