Danny A. Milner Sr, 68, of Thomaston died Dec. 11, 2016, in Demopolis.
Mr. Milner was born June 11, 1948 in Birmingham to the late Raiford and Gwendolyn Lunceford Milner.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Cynthia M. Barnette and Bobbie Ray M. Winstead.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah N. Milner; daughter, Audra N. Milner Montgomery (Robert) of Pickensville, Alabama; and a son, Dr. Dan A. Milner Jr, M.D. (Alan Lavender) of Chicago; brothers, Michael Todd Milner of Newbern and Rodney Mitchell Milner of Marion; and two grandchildren, Ethan Conner Montgomery and Aaron Parker Montgomery, both of Pickensville.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Mr. Milner’s son, Dr. Dan Milner Jr., will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel will be directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 until 7 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Ayres, Will Ayers, Jason Arledge, Mike Smith, Chad Milner, and Buzzy Barnette.
The family especially thanks the staff at Fitzgerald Clinic, especially Gayla Culpepper, a dedicated friend for years to Mr. Milner; Bryan Whitfield ER staff, especially Dr. John Houston; the ER staff at DCH; Dr. Pandey, Dr. Chandra, Dr. Walker, and Dr. Hill.
