Bennie Lee Barley Hudgens, 88, of Linden passed away on Jan 10, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Hudgens was born April 18, 1927 in Linden. She was a retired secretary and a member of the Linden United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James LaFayette Hudgens Jr. of Linden; two sons, James LaFayette Hudgens III of Demopolis and Richard Barley Hudgens of Selma; and two grandchildren, Katherine L. Moon and Walter R. Hudgens.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, James L. Hudgens IV; her parents, Richard Pearson Barley and Bennie Lee Abney Barley; and a brother, Richard Pearson Barley Jr.
Visitation will be held at Linden United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service with Rev. Tony Antonelle and Billy Boggs officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Linden United Methodist Church or the donor’s favorite charity.
