Linden dominates second half to defeat ALJ

The Linden Patriots fell behind early to county rival A.L. Johnson, but came alive in the second half to blow out the Jaquars.
After trailing 6-0 at halftime, Linden scored 21 points in the third quarter and 28 points in the fourth as they defeated A.L. Johnson, 49-6.
Devontae Poole had a big night for Linden, returning an interception for a touchdown, recovering a fumble, and hauling in a touchdown reception.
The Patriots are now 3-1 in the region and are playoff bound.
“We’re ready. I like where we are at right now. This was a big game for us and our guys responded,” said Linden Coach Andro Williams.
The Patriots will host Billingsley next week while A.L. Johnson hosts Maplesville.
