With the latest prep football rankings being released yesterday afternoon, the Demopolis football team received a first place vote and stayed at fourth in class 4A.

In class 3A, Clarke County received five votes with a 2-0 record.

In class 1A, Sweet Water received 25 votes with a 1-1 record and A.L. Johnson got one vote with a 2-0 mark.

At the AISA level, Southern Academy remained at fifth overall with 151 votes and a 2-0 record.

Demopolis plays host to Dallas County on Friday in their first home regional game and Southern Academy has a bye week before facing Shelby Academy next Friday on the road.
