The Demopolis Public Library will hold their “Lunch at the Library” program on Jan. 15 at noon.

Demopolis native Rusty Goldsmith will attend the program and discuss his recent essay published in the Summer 2012 issue of the Sewanee Review, “Adios, Lash LaRue.”

Goldsmith will read parts of his essay and discuss his memories of the Marengo Theatre.

Those attending should bring lunch and the friends of the Demopolis Public Library will provide drinks and dessert.

A recent lunch at the library event was presented during Halloween called “School Spirits: Ghost Stories from Alabama’s College Campuses.”
