The Demopolis Tigers varsity boys basketball team traveled to A.L. Johnson this past Friday night and came away with a close victory, 45-40.
Head coach Rodney Jackson said he felt like his team played hard but did not execute as well as they should have.
“We didn’t execute very well,” he said. “We could have executed a lot better, but we played hard. Our guys found a way to win on the road, and it’s always hard to win on the road.”
The Tigers are 2-1 on the young season and will host R.C. Hatch this Friday night. The first game begins at 5 p.m. Jackson said he is excited for a team like Hatch to come to Demopolis.
“I’m glad we have them on the schedule,” he said. “I’m excited about it, and I think our players are excited about it. We’ve got four days to prepare and practice for us to be ready for them.”
