Pageant to be held at Theo Ratliff Center this Saturday

About 19 young ladies will compete in a pageant Saturday vying for the title of Miss Diva in their age category.
Community in Action, an area nonprofit, will hold the pageant this Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6.p.m. at the Theo Ratliff Activity Center.
“The pageant is a fundraiser for the organization,” Terrie Charleston, chairperson for the pageant, said.
Contestants paid an entry fee to be a part of the pageant. The fee goes to aid the organization, which seeks to help low income families who need assistance with paying their utility bills.
The pageant will include girls ages 1-12. Participants will include girls competing in the following categories: Young Miss Diva are ages 1-3, Little Miss Diva are ages 3-7 and Miss Diva are ages 7-12.
Winston Muhammad is chairman of the organization and Terrie Charleston is co-chairman. Pageant committee members also include Tasha Taylor and Perchia Harris.
