The Sweet Water Bulldogs (9-2) go on the road to face the Aliceville Yellow Jackets (7-4) on Friday night in the second round of the 2A playoffs.

Sweet Water head coach Stacy Luker said Aliceville’s offensive weapon is a 250-pound tailback that ran for about 300 yards in last week’s playoff game against Elba.

“They are a very balanced team offensively,” Luker said. “They are big and physical and they play good defense.”

He added that their main focus this week is to make sure everything they do is polished.

“We have to keep everything we do polished going into this game,” he said, “and get familiar with what they do since we don’t see them much.”
