ChiLLy Fest right around the corner

Linden’s ChiLLy Fest will be on Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8 this year.
On Friday, the events will kick off with the Christmas Carnival, which will last all evening and then all day on Saturday.
There will also be a chili cooker’s party on Friday night from 7-10 p.m.
There is a full schedule of events slated for Saturday. Along with the carnival, arts and crafts and food vendors will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout town. The ‘Poot-N-Scoot’ run, walk and fun run will begin at 9 a.m. There is a $15 registration fee for the run/walk if people register before Nov. 26. The fee goes up to $20 after Nov. 26. The fun run for kids will start at 9:30 and registration is $10 before Nov. 26 and $15 after that date.
In the Papa’s Foods parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a cruise in car show will be held.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be the ‘Gospel Explosion!’ hosted by WVFG 107.5 FM.
The highlight event of the weekend, the chili cook-off, will be judged at 11 a.m. and the public will be served at noon.
There will also be ChiLLy Fest pageants, and the first pageant will begin at 10 a.m.
The Christmas Parade of Lights will start at 6:30 p.m. and there will be a fireworks extravaganza following the parade.
