MARENGO COUNTY-Due to construction on the Marengo County Courthouse in Linden there will not be a program commemorating Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11 at the Veterans Monument. The Demopolis High School JROTC will conduct a program Wednesday Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. in the school gym.

SFC Mike Black and his Cadets welcome all area veterans to attend. Family, friends and other visitors are also welcome to honor our veterans.

Also, the Marengo County License Division will be closed to the public Monday Nov. 14. The State of Alabama Department of Public Safety will be installing a new digital driver license division. The Department of Public Safety and Digimarc Training and Installation Team will be providing training to the Marengo County License personnel on Nov. 14.

The office will resume their regular office hours Tuesday Nov. 15. They apologize for any inconvenience.
