U.S. Jones third grade students from the classes of Julie Harrison, Mary Stuedeman and Kristi Stokes are getting a first hand approach to healthy living.
They are participating in the Body Quest: Food of the Warrior program sponsored by The Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
The program focuses on getting the children to eat more fruits and vegetables. It also teaches children how to stay healthy by exercising and getting enough sleep.
The program will last for 17 weeks. Instructors for the class are Lorretta Carr and Susan Thompson from the Extension Office.
