The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 41st COTR Nautical Parade on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. and those who still wish to enter their boat are urged to contact the Chamber.

The prize for the best decorated boat will be $500 and there will be other prizes for participants.

“This year we are trying to work with the Demopolis Yacht Basin to get more people to enter their boats this year,” said Elizabeth Etheridge, night parade chairwoman.

She said those entering can decorate the boats “Christmas-like” and urged people to call about entering a week prior to the parade, at the latest.

Boaters are encouraged to enter as soon as possible.
