A Tuesday night accident on Maria Avenue left twisted metal and one person injured.
The Demopolis Police Department responded to a call at 8:47 at the corner of Maria Avenue and Poe Road when a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Charleston Guy Hinson of Demopolis and a Chevrolet C-1,500, driven by Samuel Pate Jr. of Gallion collided.
The accident left severe damage to the Monte Carlo and sent the C-1500 into the ditch.
