Cedric Cooks, who was injured in John Essex High School’s game against Autaugaville last night, is at home and resting after the doctors released him around 6 a.m. Saturday.
Head coach Jerome Antone said that a MRI and a CT scan were done on Cooks, and both came back negative.
“Cedric is a very blessed child,” Antone said. “It was not looking good last night.”
Antone added that Cooks is still sore after the hit he took, but is very grateful that all of the tests came back negative.
