James V. Harrison, Jr., 67, of Demopolis died on Sept 25. 2012 at DCH in Tuscaloosa. He was born on March 20, 195 to the late James V. and Sophia Payne Harrison.

He was preceded in death by parents, brother in law John Gustin and a half brother Tom Harrison.

He is survived by loving wife Sandra McFarland Harrison, sons James Valley Harrison, III (Julie) of Demopolis and their daughters Molly Katherine Harrison and Hilary Elizabeth Harrison/John Matthew Harrison (Amanda from Demopolis and their children Sophie Elizabeth Harrison and John Matthew Harrison, Jr.) and sisters Rose Cooley (Jim) of Sylacauga and Peggy Gustin of Trussville.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Thursday , Sept 27 at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairhaven Baptist Church 1504 Cardinal Street Demopolis.
