The Demopolis Lady Tigers volleyball team does not have any games this week, but they are using the time off for graduation exams to work on a new rotation and building on the chemistry and confidence they found last Thursday in the 3-0 win over Greenville.
The Lady Tigers are 1-4 on the season after that win and face region foe Selma on Tuesday. Coach Blythe Smith is happy with her team’s performance in the game against Greenville and is looking forward to getting back out on the court next week.
“Things are going better now,” she said. “We had a really good practice before the Greenville game and had better communication. We worked together better in that game and had good chemistry.”
During this week off, Smith feels like she has found six or seven players that work well together for the remainder of the season.
“I’m looking forward to next week’s game against Selma,” she said. “I think we have really good chemistry going with these players.”
