FORKLAND – Forkland resident Lillie Thomas has been chosen as a potential candidate for the ABC show Extreme Makeover / Home Edition.

According to Chism, while the casting directors were visiting with Lillie, many Forkland citizens came by her home.

Lillie Thomas has been involved in the Forkland community for many years.

According to several citizens, no one deserves having this done for them more than Lillie.

Lillie is a member of Steam Plant Road Volunteer Fire Department, and is actually trained in handling hazardous material. She volunteers at the Forkland Town Hall everyday to served lunches to the elderly. She is a member of Savers, which is an organization that saves and pools money to take community members on small vacations. She volunteers with an organization called woman2woman.

Lillie also takes care of her mother and another elderly couple that is homebound.

Lillie has four out of the six grandchildren she has raised still living with her. Her grandchildren&8217;s names are Nelson Quinney, James Quinney, April Quinney (who was just nominated Homecoming Queen for Warrior Academy), Darius Quinney, Ava Quinney and Keith Quinney.

According to Chism, Lillie wanted all of grandkids to receive a good education, so she has them all at Warrior. She is heavily involved in their education and is volunteering at the school all the time,&8221; said Chism.

Within Lillie&8217;s home, there is one bathroom for the six people that live there. They actually have a scheduled bathroom time they use. They have no closet space and have made the small utility room into a closet for all of them.

According to Chism, Lillie slept on the couch for three years so all of her grandkids could have a room to sleep in.
