&8220;Dan&8221; Gentry
DEMOPOLIS &045; H.S. &8220;Dan&8221; Gentry, 85, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis with Dr. Art Luckie officiating. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors in charge of services.
The Gentry family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
Gentry was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Thornton Gentry and Robert Gentry; his wife, Allie Price Gentry and one brother, James O. Gentry.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer G. Clem of Demopolis; two sons, Dan Price Gentry and Stephen Parker Gentry all of Greensboro; one sister, Jean Bailey of Lauderdale, Miss.; one brother Robert Lee Gentry of Albany, Ga.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Adam Gentry, Josh Gentry, Lloyd Eicher, Robbie Rose, Michael Kane and Freddie Padilla.
Gentry was a native of Meridian, Miss. and a resident of Demopolis the past 55 years and a retired employee of Gulf States Paper Mill after 24 years of service. Gentry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis and a World War II Navy veteran.

Lillian Rozelle
GREENSBORO &045; Lillian Rozelle, 83, of Greensboro died on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at Southland Nursing Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007 at Lake Payne Church of God with the Revs. Travis Connell, Arthur Thomas and Bryan LaGrone officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at Kirk Funeral Homes in Marion Chapel.
Dooley was born in Hale County on Nov. 11, 1923. Her parents were Doss and Audrey Coley Fondren who preceded her in death. Her husband, the Rev. C. L. Colburn; her son, L. C. Colburn; five brothers, J.D. Fondren, Henry Fondren, R.V. Fondren, Watson Fondren and Clarence Fondren and two sisters, Idell Colburn and Odell Aultman, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Melton Dooley of Greensboro; four daughters, Betty Jean Carter of Greensboro, Elizabeth Hale of Spratt, Geraldine Green of Moundville and Linda Winn of Marion; one son, Pete Colburn of Greensboro; one brother, Earl Fondren of Greensboro; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryan LaGrone, David Fondren, Darrell Fondren, Milton Aultman, R.V. Fondren Jr. and Jon Thomas.

FAUNSDALE &045; Alice Owens Threatt, 59, of Faunsdale, wife of Joseph Threatt of Faunsdale died on February 20, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis.
