11 arrested in Linden drug operation

The Linden Police Department arrested 11 people Friday morning on drug charges. Those arrested included men and women and ranged in age from 21 to 70.
The arrests follow a seven-month undercover operation where operatives where used to purchase drugs in Linden.
The arrest warrants were obtained in July and served early Friday morning.
The following people were charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance:
•Joshua Miller, 21, of Thomasville
•Willie Morgan, 70, of Linden
•Quinton L. Daniels, 23, of Linden
•Jeffery Rembert, 54, of Linden
•Donald J. Baker, 48, of Linden
•Mary A. Hunter, 54, of Linden
•Tharon D. Thomas, 39, of Linden
•Ada M. Jenkins, 43, of Linden
•Selner Pickens, 46, of Linden
•Alex White, 30, of Linden
One person, Willie L. Lewis, 30, of Linden was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police Chief Scott McClure said his department still has one outstanding warrant that was not served Friday.
“I feel sure the arrest will come soon,” McClure said.
McLure said the operation went well, was safe and well planned.
“We would also like to let the public know that we are working everyday to make Linden a safe place to live by continuing to arrest the drug dealers in your neighborhoods,” McClure said. “This is a slow process but please continue to contact this department with your information on these dealers. It’s your information that makes these arrests possible.”
