William Brown Jr.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; William Brown Jr., 57, of Demopolis died on May 2, 2007 at U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Fred Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. The remains will repose at the church beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Public viewing will be held from 1-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Brown was employed by the City of Demopolis Sanitation Department.

Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Esther Borden Coleman

GREENSBORO &8212; Mary Esther Borden Coleman, 98, of Greensboro died on May 4 at the Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She was born April 8, 1909 in Hale County. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Pennington and Annie Gray Jack Borden, her husband, Bestor Wynne Coleman Jr. and one brother, James Jack Borden.

Survivors include a daughter,

Ann Coleman Oliver, and husband, Howard of Pleasant Hill, two sons, Bestor Wynne Coleman III and wife, Dianne of Greensboro and James Pennington Coleman of Houston and one grandchild.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Greensboro Cemetery with the Rev.
