Walker/Baskin

Tamekia Chinetta Walker Baskin of Uniontown and Trevor Levon Baskin of Livingston were united with a wedding celebration on the day of her late mother&8217;s birthday (Mary Walker), July 28, 2007, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Milton Brown is the pastor. The officiating minister for the wedding was the Rev. Joseph Waller, Pastor of Hebron Missionary Baptist Church of Safford. It was a double ring celebration.

Tamekia was given away in marriage by her four brothers; Samuel, Zack, Frank, and Patrick Walker. Her father is the late Frank James Harris. She wore an ivory flirty strapless the embroidery beaded/sequined, self-belt with rhinestone broach, bubble skirt with pick-ups, shoe lace back with chapel train with diamond accessories and a silver tiara ivory veil. Her make-up was done by Cynthia Lewis Williams. The bouquet was lemon, aqua, and ivory. The flowers brought that extra special feeling and captured every thing the couple was going for. The miniature bride was Monesha Coleman. Ruby Walker, Terriciata Walker, Brenda, Glenda and Vanessa Walker, Cherell Black and Veronica Turner, Cassandra Baskin and Latoya Mcabo were the bridesmaids. Brittany Ivory was the jr. bridesmaid. The flower girls were Alexis Walker, Patiniquia Collins, Cardedra Russell and Shaterria Baskin. The best men were Terrence Baskin and Quincy Walker. The miniature groom was Terrance Baskin Jr. The groomsmen were RJ Bias, Burrile Tolliver, Kelvin Harris, Andrew Norfleet, Sedrick Holley, Bobby Smith, Clifford Walker and Ronald Harris. Jonathan Hardwick was a jr. groomsmen. The ring bearer was Kadarius Walker. Quincy Walker Jr. served as bell carrier. Avonite Walker was the Bible carrier. The ushers/candle lighters were Travis and Samuel Walker Jr. and Ethel Lipcomb.

The wedding party gowns and tuxedo were provided by Wrappin It Up. The hostesses included Kathy Williams, Shalwanda Walker, Debra Gladden, Victoria Walker, Minnie Turner, and Shiley Williams. The bride&8217;s sister, Sarah Walker, represented her late mother. She wore a suit with a hat and lace accessories. The bride aunt, groom aunt, grandmother and father were also escorted in. The bride&8217;s hair stylist was Julia Collier.

The ceremony featured three soloists; Terry Collins Charles Watkins, and Fanietta Walker. Invitations were designed by Janesha Walker. The wonderful programs were designed by Phyllis G. Lucy. The photos were taken by Norman Hale; videographer was Antonio Baskin.

The church and reception decorations were done by Mary Turner. The reception was held a Robert C. Hatch High School Cafeteria of Uniontown. The entire cafeteria was decorated in the wedding colors, which again were lemon, aqua, and ivory. The tables had vases on it with fishes in them, napkin inside champagne glasses, flowers in the middle of them, and a plate, fork, spoon and knives and napkin at every place setting. The chairs were decorated with ivory polyester covers and lemon organza sash bows. The cake was decorate with yellow roses with a fountain located at the bottom, a bridge connecting to the second layer of the cake with miniature groomsmen and bridesmaids statues, surrounded with candles, with a aqua ribbon tied around a little statue the flavor was lemon. The groom cake was made with a tuxedo design on top, the flavor was chocolate. Both cakes were made by Mrs. Juliet Braxton. Catering was provided by Gail Black and bride&8217;s family. The decoration of the fruit table goes to Aurelia Harris and Sheena Harris. The entertainment was provided by DJ Dr. Throwdown. The wedding coordinator was Mary Ann Russell Bennett. The couple will spend their honeymoon in Los Angles.
