LINDEN &8212; The Longhorns fell last week on the road for the first time in the last game of the regular season to Jackson Academy. Now the group has to rebound and prepare for their first game of the post season at home against Kingwood Christian.

The Kingwood Christian Lions aren&8217;t unbeatable, as their 6-3 record indicates, but Marengo&8217;s record after their loss mirrors that of their opponent. When they have won this season, the most points the Lion defense has allowed is seven, while in their losses 26 is the least they have allowed. So the &8217;Horns are going to have to put points on the board fast and often.

Little said his group will try and establish the run, the group&8217;s bread and butter this season on offense, early and make Kingwood shut it down. He said, depending on the effectiveness of the Kingwood defense and what he is shown, the Longhorns may make adjustments on offense as they go.

As for the Lion offense, Little knows what is coming.

And on the Longhorns tough defense, the secondary&8217;s pass protection isn&8217;t the strongest point, so Little is going to have to do something to get Kingwood out of its comfort zone.
