Due to the inclement weather moving through our area, the Pepper Jelly Festival at the Alabama Rural Heritage Center in Thomaston has been postponed to next Saturday, May 1.
An announcement sent by e-mail to regional media by Festival officials says that the festival, the 5-K run and the domino tournament have all been rescheduled for that date. Vendors are encouraged to contact the officials at the Pepper Jelly Festival by e-mail at ruralher@frontiernet.net or by phone at (334) 627-3388 to let them know if they would be able to return on May 1.
Officials said Saturday that most of the entertainment would return to the festival on May 1, but that the Gee’s Bend quilters would not be able to return. Officials said the schedule of entertainment would otherwise remain the same.
