Marengo County is under a tornado warning until 11:45 a.m. CT, according to the National Weather Service. Tornado spotters sighted a funnel cloud near Ward, Ala., about 10 miles southeast of York moving northeast at 50 mph. Locations under the warning include Demopolis, Myrtlewood, Coatopa, Linden, Thomaston, Dayton and Chickasaw Park.

People are advised to seek shelter and stay tuned to weather radio.
