DEMOPOLIS &8212; Phillip Darryl Luker, 23, of Demopolis died Nov. 30, 2007, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today at Gallion Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Demopolis. Luker was born Aug. 6, 1984, in Demopolis to Kerry and Joyce Crawford Luker of Demopolis; he was a desk clerk at Days Inn in Demopolis.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Rubye P. Luker, and his maternal grandparents, Woodfin and Elizabeth Crawford, and one uncle, Woody Crawford.
He is survived by his parents Kerry and Joyce Luker of Demopolis; two brothers, Anthony Mitchell &8220;Tony&8221; Luker and his wife, Katherine, of Demopolis and David Ray Crawford of Mobile.
Active pallbearers Edward Luker, Rich Porter, David Coats, Robbie Wilkerson, Vince Martin, Ricky Lewis and honorary employees of Days Inn and the ladies at the Salvation Army. Officiates are the Revs. Timothy Davis and Allen Atkins. Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Luker&8217;s memory to the Demopolis Branch of the Salvation Army, 1046 Bailey Drive in Demopolis.
