The Marengo High varsity teams dispensed of Sweet Water Friday night with a pair of key area victories.

The Marengo High Lady Panthers (13-2, 7-0) downed Sweet Water 43-31 to open varsity action. Shakayla Bouler led the way for Marengo with a triple-double, scoring 17 points, snagging 14 rebounds and coming up with 11 steals. She also added six assists on the evening.

Alesia Bowser added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Marengo while Kiana Lewis had six points.

Deandria Norwood topped the scorers for the Lady Bulldogs with 11.

The Marengo varsity boys (5-10, 3-4) followed with a 39-27 win over Sweet Water. Michael Lewis led with 10 points. Derrious Rodgers had nine points and five assists. Jamarcus Agee had seven points and 10 rebounds.

Damion Norwood led Sweet Water with 10 points in the game.

Sweet Water’s lone victory of the night came in the junior varsity game that opened the evening. Sweet Water’s JV beat Marengo 31-30.

Demetrius Bowser scored nine points for the Marengo JV. Deshon Smith had seven points and Jatevin Horn had five.
