GREENSBORO &8212; Jesse Ottis Brooks, 72, of Greensboro, died on April 2, 2008, at Hale County Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on Saturday at Greensboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Dee McGuire presiding. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Diane Colburn Brooks, five daughters, Debra Henry of Ocala, Fla., Carolyn Haire of Tampa, Fla., Belinda Housaal of Dawsonville, Ga., Bonnie Aldrich, of Ocala, Fla. and Lynn Hill, of Linden; four sons, Jesse Ottis Brooks Jr., of Orange Springs, Fla., Keith Fikes of Greensboro, David Fikes of Greensboro and Donnie Fikes of Crestview, Fla.; three sisters, Inez Key, of Munford, Gail Strickland, of Munford and Chris Key, of Oxford; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
