DEMOPOLIS &8212; A York woman is in custody following a high-speed chase that led law enforcement officers across parts of western Alabama Monday.

The woman is accused of stealing a black 2007 Cadillac CTR from a home in York.

The suspect hit four vehicles &8212; including two police cars &8212; before being rammed to a stop in the Canal Heights Church of Christ by a Demopolis police cruiser.

The unidentified suspect gave authorities a false name, York investigator Ray McVay said.

Robinson also saidthe suspect broke into her mother&8217;s house and stole several items.

The suspect led authorities nearly to the Mississippi state line, then doubled back, heading into Demopolis on U.S. Highway 80.

Marengo County Sheriff&8217;s deputy Don Lewis followed the car &8212; which was going in excess of 100 miles per hour at some points.

Lewis tried to PITT the suspect&8217;s car, but she swerved off-road and circled through a side parking lot at Brian W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital and the nearby McDonald&8217;s before a Demopolis police cruiser intercepted the vehicle and ended the chase.

The woman also struck two civilian vehicles, including a Honda Accord in the restaurant parking lot whose driver was transported to the hospital complaining of neck pains.

At least five departments responded to the chase, including Demopolis, Marengo County, Sumter County, York and Linden.

A state trooper arrived after the chase to document the damage to the two law enforcement vehicles.

Sumter County Sheriff&8217;s deputies transported the subject to the county jail in Livingston.
