LIVINGSTON &8212; Authorities identified the woman arrested for the high-speed chase that ended Monday in Demopolis as Teieda Robertson of York.

Formal charges have yet to be filed against Robertson, as a Sumter County Sheriff&8217;s deputy said she is only being &8220;detained&8221; at the moment.

The deputy, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Robertson would likely face felony auto theft, burglary, evading and lesser charges when she is arraigned later this week.

Robertson was arrested when a Demopolis police cruiser struck the black 2007 Cadillac CTR she was driving and stopped it in the parking lot of the Canal Heights Church of Christ on U.S. Highway 80.

The car was reported stolen by a York family earlier in the day.

The suspect led authorities nearly to the Mississippi state line, then doubled back, heading into Demopolis.

The suspect hit four vehicles &8212; including two police cars &8212; before she was stopped.

&8220;We don&8217;t know who she is yet,&8221; York Police investigator Ray McVay said at the time of the arrest. &8220;We are still trying to establish that.&8221;

Robinson also said the suspect broke into her mother&8217;s house and stole several items before fleeing in the car.

Marengo County Sheriff&8217;s deputy Don Lewis followed the car &8212; which was speeding in excess of 100 miles per hour at some points.

Lewis tried to PITT the suspect&8217;s car, but Robertson swerved off-road and circled through a side parking lot at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital and the nearby McDonald&8217;s before she was intercepted.

The woman also struck two civilian vehicles, including a Honda Accord in the restaurant parking lot whose driver was transported to the hospital complaining of neck pains.

At least five departments responded to the chase, including Demopolis, Marengo County, Sumter County, York and Linden.

Robertson remains in custody at the Sumter County Jail.
