Third suspect charged in double-murder

The third suspect for a double murder in Demopolis was charged Friday in Linden.
The Marengo County Sheriff’s Department formally charged Cory Davis, 33, of Demopolis with capital murder.
On Nov. 13, Henry Green, 22, of Demopolis and Ron Elmore, 35, of Demopolis were shot to death in front of 722 E. Decatur St. in Demopolis.
Demopolis interim police chief Tim Williams withheld the Davis’ identity when two other suspects were charged in the shooting in November. He said the suspect was facing other charges from a separate agency at the time.
Davis is in federal custory after being picked up in Demopolis a few days after the shooting on a drug trafficking charge.
Jeremy Joshua Bell, 20, of Demopolis has already been arrested for the shooting and charged with capital murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Richard Carl Perry, 48, of Demopolis was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
