Four local gridiron standouts made their college choices official on National Signing Day. Demopolis quarterback Rick Boone solidified his verbal commitment to the University of West Alabama. DHS linebacker Greg Irvin signed a scholarship offer to play for the University of Alabama at Birmingham while Linden linebacker and fullback Maurice Tate signed with Alabama State. Shantrell Braxton will join Tate at Alabama State.
