Pleas announced in criminal court

The criminal court term opened in Marengo County’s circuit court this week with several defendants pleading guilty.
Entering guilty pleas on Monday were, Lee Calvin Bizzell, who plead guilty to robbery 1st degree. Circuit Court Judge Eddie Hardaway sentenced him to 20 years in the state’s bureau of corrections.
Ronterius Byron pled guilty to robbery first degree. He has requested a pre-sentencing investigation.
Lucy Aubrey pled guilty to burglar II. She received 10 years in the bureau of corrections.
Charlie Chaney pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Sentencing is pending a pre-sentencing investigation.
Gary Dixon, Jr. pled guilty to theft of property first degree. He was sentenced to five years in the bureau of corrections.
Anthony Bernar Gaitor pled guilty to violating the community notification act. He will be sentenced after a pre-sentencing investigation.
Wayne Etheridge Meggs pled guilty to theft of property 2nd. He will be sentenced after a pre-sentencing investigation.
Michael Posey pled guilty to robbery first degree. He was sentenced to 20 years to the bureau of corrections.
Arthur Richardson pled guilty to DUI – 2nd. He received 12 months in the county jail.
Justin Bernard Smith pled guilty to robbery first degree. He has requested a pre-sentencing investigation.
Herman Williams pled guilty to first-degree sodomy. He will be sentenced after a pre-sentencing investigation.
Daryl Taylor pled guilty to rape second degree. He was sentenced to 15 years in the bureau of corrections.
