Deacon Leroy Fields, Sr., age 77 of Faunsdale, Alabama passed May 31, 2011 at DCH Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral Services were heldMonday, June 6, 2011 at 12 Noon at Hunter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Faunsdale, Alabama. Pastor John H. Kennard officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery. Survivors include a devoted wife, Ruby Fields; five sons, Leroy (Mary) Fields, Jr., Campbell Hall, NY, Hill (Helen) Fields, Mobile, AL, Richard Black, Linden, AL, Robert (Sylvia) Sanders, Mobile, AL and Jerry (Betty) Auston, Campbell Hall, NY; three daughters,Betty (Clifford) Norwood, Dumfries, VA, Delores (Oland) Long, Shrewsury, MA, and Dorothy (Wilbur)

Hardy, Mobile, AL; one brother, Curtis (Carrie) Fields; Gallion, AL; two sisters, Caria Bryant, Newbern, AL and Ruby Briggins, Newburgh, NY;seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
