Interviews for DHS principal position begin Thursday

Four candidates for the position of Demopolis High School principal will begin their interviews with the Demopolis City Schools board this afternoon (Thursday) at 5 p.m. at the school board office on Cedar Avenue.
There will be two interviews today, one on Friday and another at a later date.
Candidates for the position include Demopolis Middle School principal Clarence Jackson Jr., former Thomasville High School principal Leon Clark, Davis-Emerson Middle School (Tuscaloosa) principal Dr. Walter Davie and Woodlawn High School assistant principal Janice Drake.
Demopolis school board chair Gary Holemon did not specify the order of the interviews, which are open to the public.
Former DHS principal Dr. Isaac Espy Jr. resigned his position on May 12 to take a similar position at Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa. He held the position at DHS for four years.
