RockTenn Industries made a $25,000 donation to the Demopolis City Schools Foundation following the Foundation’s 14th annual celebration luncheon at the Demopolis Civic Center on Thursday.
A portion of the contribution will be used to help fund the Dual Enrollment Program. The remainder will be used at the discretion of the Demopolis City Schools Foundation.
“This was quite a surprise,” said DCSF executive director Jan McDonald. “RockTenn has been a very supportive corporate citizen, and has supported the Foundation in the past directly.
“Most of this will be used as a pass-through contribution to the high school, but we are glad to serve as the agency to pass it through.”
