The tables of the Fellowship Hall of the Demopolis First United Methodist Church were decorated with a Halloween theme when the Friendship Club met on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010.
Name tags were pictures of pumpkins for the 52 members who attended. Cards were signed by members to be sent to Mrs. Tom Graves, Tom Compton, Mrs. Sam Braswell, Mrs. Walter Wilkerson, and Mrs. Billy Duke.
The Annie McLeod Circle served beef casserole, pear salad, rolls, and assorted desserts. Kitchen workers were Mrs. Arthur Lee Hitt, Mrs. Harold Park, Mrs. Russell Burdett and Mrs. Jack Willoughby.
“Happy Birthday” was sung to those whose birthdays are in October and the first part of November—Mrs. Dwain Williams, Tom Compton, Mrs. Thomas Melton, Mrs. Clinton Rice, Mrs. Elmer Pruitt, and Miss Wanda Rice.
Several enjoyed playing Bridge or Dominoes during the social hour, and everyone enjoyed a day of fellowship. There will be no meeting in November, and the next meeting of the Friendship Club will be Monday, December 6, 2010.
