Local students receive honors for UA Fall 2024 Term

A total of 14,631 students enrolled during Fall Semester 2024 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).
Local students who were named to the president’s list include John David Bedsole, Sasser Braswell, Caroline Davidson, Charles Johnson, Brad Pruett, Abby Quinney and Alesha Taylor, all of Demopolis; Leighton Fultz of Linden: Kirby Megginson of Sweet Water; and Camilla Emmons, Jacob Horner and Jordin Martin, all of Thomaston.
Local students named to the dean’s list include Alex Abrams, Abby Cameron, Olivia Hobson , Roosevelt Jackson, Mia Jones, John Laney, Lizzie Lawler, Jim Lindsay, Taylor Quinney and Ja’Kara Taylor, all of Demopolis; David Etheridge and Tate Jordan, both of Linden; Benjamin Turberville of Gallion; Le’Naya Essex and Olivia Murphy of Marion; Thomas Lewis of Sweet Water; and Haley Jackson of Uniontown.
