West AlabamaWorks has been organizing hiring events across the region for several years. They will be returning to Demopolis for another hiring event at the Theo Ratliff Activity Center on Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

While the specific list of employers for the upcoming event is still being finalized, hiring events typically feature a diverse range of companies from various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and education. One example, Smurfit Westrock, a significant employer in the region, has been actively involved in these initiatives.

West Alabama Works hiring events often provide additional resources to assist job seekers. These may include resume writing assistance, interview coaching, and opportunities to network with industry professionals.
