Crowson Joins Demopolis Times

The Demopolis Times is pleased to announce that Jeremy Crowson has joined the Times’ staff as a multimedia marketing consultant.

Crowson is no stranger to the media business. He has previously served as a freelance writer, photographer, sound engineer, and film and video producer/director/editor. His work has appeared online for Southern Living, People, Health, Food & Wine, Sports Illustrated, Cooking Light, It’s a Southern Thing and This Is Alabama, as well as for independent musicians and filmmakers across Alabama. 

He has also served as a freelance writer with The Bibb Voice.

Publisher Brent Maze said he is excited to have Crowson aboard to help serve the customers of Demopolis. He will also assist Maze with news writing and content production.

“Jeremy has a wealth of knowledge in the media business that we feel will be very beneficial for The Demopolis Times and the businesses in Demopolis and Marengo County,” Maze said. “He will also be assisting me with our news and sports coverage, but he will also be there to help you with your marketing needs in our community. We feel like he has the skills that can help us continue to move forward.” 

General Manager David Lovell said Crowson offers a unique skillset that will benefit our clients and the community as well.

“One thing that Jeremy has is an understanding of digital media and helping clients produce quality content for their businesses,” Lovell said. “We believe this will give our customers a unique opportunity to build campaigns that will cover the wide spectrum of digital media. This includes the ability to help customers develop digital video campaigns, reaching multiple platforms.”

Crowson said he is excited for the new opportunity in Demopolis.

“I’m looking forward to helping further the digital transition and innovation that’s going on here with reporting, content creation, and advertising,” Crowson said. “It’s fun when people realize that an ad in the newspaper is no longer limited to ‘paper’ but can include video and motion graphics, and even be on streaming television, on their favorite Roku channel, or almost anywhere in the digital sphere.”
