Janie Lee Jones, age 85, of Myrtlewood, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at the Marengo Nursing Home in Linden.
She was born Dec. 12, 1939 in Aimwell to Julian Slater and Eleanor Walker Anderson. She was a retired secretary and a member of Myrtlewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Jones; sons, Randall Jones and Derek Jones; daughters, Jane Abel, Joyce Silar, and Patricia Cramer; sisters, Nell Dunnaway and Dianne Waldrop; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Wally officiating. Burial followed at Myrtlewood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Zachary Able, Jacob Able, Patrick Ballard, Nate Silar, Ethan Biggs and Tucker Jones.
