West AlabamaWorks is inviting job seekers in Tuscaloosa County to attend a hiring event on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Livingston Civic Center, 101 Country Club Rd., 35470.

This event, held in partnership with Enviva, offers exciting career opportunities with competitive wages and on-the-job training for individuals looking to advance or start a new career.

Enviva, a global leader in sustainable biomass energy, is hiring for a variety of positions with wages starting at $18 to $22 per hour for entry-level roles. Skilled labor positions begin at $30 per hour. All positions offer opportunities for pay progression and growth through on-the-job training.

Available roles include pellet mill operator, hammer mill operator, barge load-out operator, shift supervisor, mobile equipment operator, crane operator, chip mill operator, scale house operator, control room operator, maintenance technician, electrical technician, roller head technician, lubrication technician, electrical supervisor, and mechanical supervisor.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Enviva representatives, learn more about the company’s roles and benefits, and apply on-site. This hiring event underscores West AlabamaWorks’ mission to connect employers with qualified talent and strengthen the regional workforce.
