Larry Joe Griffin, age 74, of Demopolis died Wednesday, Oct, 23, 2024, at his home.  He was born Sept. 2, 1950 in Tuscaloosa to Jeffie Boyd Griffin Jr. and Thelma Coline Tillery Griffin.  He was a retired electrician and an avid hunter and outdoorsman who loved to travel and watch University of Alabama softball.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jeanette Biggs Griffin; daughter, Angela Griffin Weeks (Josh); brother, Jeffery Lee Griffin (Alesia); granddaughter, Taylor Blake Weeks; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Darren and Gina Williams and Dr. Charles Gross.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffie Boyd Griffin Jr. and Thelma Coline Tillery Griffin; and sister, Gayle Montz.

Graveside memorial services were held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Rickey Phillips and Larry Seale officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Al Hubbard, Kyle Hubbard, Chris Montz, Jonathan Sommers, Tom Culpepper, Lynn Goldman and SouthernCare Hospice.
