Marvin Flowers

Marvin Flowers, age 66, of Gallion died on Sept. 1, 2010, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Sweet Water to the late William Sidney and Hattie Lynn Flowers. He was a truck driver for Linden Lumber.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Riley Flowers and Raymond Flowers.
Survivors include his wife, Olean Oliver Flowers; four sons, William Edward “Billy” (Patricia) Flowers of Forkland, Christopher Hugh “Chris” (Janan) Flowers of Linden, Marvin Eugene (Julie) Flowers of Gallion and Sidney Wayne (Shea) Flowers of Gallion; a sister, Mary Ann (Ed) Pickel of Gallion; three brothers, James Flowers of Forkland, George (Ruth) Flowers of Linden and Earl Flowers of Yulee, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with the Rev. Richard Scott officiating. Burial followed in Thomaston Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Alan Flowers, Andy Flowers, J.C. Goodman, Cody Goodman, Danny Criswell and Steve Zimmerman Jr.
