Johnie Ray Brock, age 81, of Demopolis died on July 6, 2024 at his home. He was born June 20, 1943 in Montgomery to John Burton and Mabel Elizabeth Brock. He was a retired security guard for the Greene County Steam Plant and a member of Canal Heights Church of Christ.  

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Brock; son, John T. Brock (Paula); grandson, John P. Brock; granddaughter, Jessica B. Johnson (Brad); great-granddaughter, Natalie Grace Johnson; and sister, Sondra Norris of Richardson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Brock; and great-grandson, Nathaniel Norris Johnson.

Graveside funeral services were held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Paul Guy officiating. 

Active pallbearers were Jesse Edwards, Phillip Milam, Curtis Vaughan and Bryan Cook.

The family would like to thank Evelyn Johnson, Maggie Edwards, and the nurses from Aveanna Hospice for their friendship, help and support during his illness.
