UWA women’s head coach Tiffany Morton has announced the addition of Kenisha Henry to the women’s basketball coaching staff.
“I am thrilled to add Kenisha to our staff, program and university. Working primarily with the guards and focusing on defense, she is dedicated and committed to her craft. Kenisha has the drive and motivation to win in everything she does,” said Morton.
“Not only will she bring a wealth of coaching knowledge and familiarity to the league having played at Delta State, she is also a proven developer of young women on and off the court. Her energy and presence is contagious and she is a phenomenal addition to our program and an even better person. Please help me welcome Kenisha Henry to the UWA family!”
Henry joins the program after serving as an assistant coach at Division I Abilene Christian (Texas) during the 2023-24 season, specializing as a coordinator of defense. She coached two players, Payton Hull and Bella Earle, to All-Western Athletic Conference accolades.
Prior to her time in Texas, she served as an assistant coach at Central Arkansas from 2019-23, where she oversaw academic support for the program. In her time with the Bears, the team achieved a GPA of 3.0. Prior to her time at UCA, she began her coaching career at J.Z. George High School in Carrollton, Mississippi from 2015-18.
She played collegiately at Delta State, earning her bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2015. She later earned her master’s degree in sports management from Central Arkansas in 2020.
