Dear editor, The Times:

Please accept our congratulations for having a citizen such as Winston Gracie. Recently, we were in Demopolis and experienced a flat tire.

Since it was late Saturday afternoon, we were uncertain where to get help. Mr. Gracie drove by, stopped to ask if we needed assistance, took the time and effort to change our tire, even though he had his children with him and was on the way to watch a ball game.

He even insisted that we call him when we reached our destination in a few hours to assure him we were safe.

We want to thank him for being such a good Samaritan and great example of Demopolis hospitality.
