Glass will be Marengo County’s next circuit clerk

Darren Glass will be the new Marengo County circuit clerk.
With 100 percent of boxes reporting, Glass won against challenger Emily Yelverton in the Democratic Primary.
Glass received 2,860 votes or 71.63 percent of the votes cast in the election.
Yelverton received 1,133 votes or 28.37 percent of the votes.
With no Republican challenger, Glass will be Marengo County’s next circuit clerk.
“The results are in! I look forward to serving the citizens of Marengo County as your new Circuit Clerk,” Glass said on Facebook. “Thank you for all the support for the last six months. It was hard work, but well worth it.”
Glass will replace current circuit clerk Kenny Freeman.
