Whitfield Regional Hospital (WRH) had announced the resurgence of the Tombigbee Healthcare Authority Foundation (THA). The THA Foundation started full force with an employee fundraiser raising over $3000 this holiday season.

Ashley Coplin, Executive Director of the THA Foundation, said she is excited to begin to lay the groundwork for the revived Foundation including identifying Board members, creating a program of work (draft stages now), and educating the community on how the Foundation will support the hospital and our patients.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to assist in restoring and leading a much-needed resource to our hospital and community-the Tombigbee Healthcare Authority Foundation. Exciting plans are being developed now, and I cannot wait to share,” Coplin said.

The Foundation’s goal is to provide ongoing capital and education resources for Whitfield Regional Hospital and help in its efforts to provide access to needed service for the region. The Foundation is dedicated to improving healthcare services for the residents of the Black Belt community.
