The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles scheduled 78 parole hearings and 30 pardon hearings for the week of Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.

One of the 78 parole hearings was for Shereena Ann Thompson. Thompson, 39, is serving time for a 2023 conviction and is being held at the Tutwiler Prison in Wetumpka.

Thompson had a parole hearing earlier in August that was continued until Nov. 1 due to insufficient votes on whether to grant or deny her parole. Thompson’s Nov. 1 hearing was denied by the Board with no reset date.

She was sentenced by the Marengo County Circuit Court on Feb. 23 for theft of property in the third degree, Class D.

Thompson has a minimum release date of June 16, 2024.
